A couple got into a fierce dispute with four non-ethnic Chinese individuals after a night out in Central's Lan Kwai Fong while queuing for a taxi in the early hours of the morning, leading to a chaotic scene. Subsequently, the female victim discovered that her Cartier bracelet, valued at over HK$100,000, had gone missing during the scuffle.
The incident occurred around 3 am yesterday (Oct. 29). A 32-year-old man surnamed Wong and his girlfriend in her 20s were leaving the Lan Kwai Fong area in Central. As they reached the taxi stand on Queen's Road Central near No. 15, they allegedly got into a dispute over queueing issues with a non-ethnic Chinese man and three non-ethnic Chinese women. The group of four quickly got into a taxi and fled. After the incident, the female victim realized that a Cartier bracelet she was wearing, worth approximately HK$100,000, had been snatched. Fortunately, the bracelet worn by Mr. Wong remained intact.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate. The couple recounted the incident to the officers. Mr. Wong sustained injuries to his face and right hand and was conscious transported to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment. The case has been temporarily classified as "assault occasioning actual bodily harm". Police are currently hunting for the one man and three women involved, believed to be aged between 20 and 30.
