This National Day, a vibrant "Chinese Costume Carnival" has gifted Hong Kong citizens a cultural feast of traditional Chinese attire, showcasing the captivating charm of Chinese aesthetics.
In celebration of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Bauhinia Culture Group, China Travel International Group Hong Kong, the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Cultural and Arts Sector National Day Preparatory Committee, jointly presented the Chinese Costume Carnival from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2. The event was held at the West Kowloon Cultural District.
The event innovatively integrated lantern art with the culture of traditional Chinese attire, featuring for the first time in Hong Kong giant themed lanterns showcasing traditional costumes. It created a unique model combining "daytime garden tours" with "nighttime lantern viewings." Additional highlights included a traditional-Chic fashion show and flash mob performances, presenting a cultural spectacle that traversed ancient and modern times.
