Yesterday (Oct. 6), during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lee Tung Street was illuminated by the grand finale event, the LED fire dragon dance, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The 18-meter-long colorful LED fire dragon, performed by the Kwok's Kung Fu & Dragon Lion Dance Team, weaved through the tree-lined avenue of Lee Tung Street. The performance began at 8:30 pm in the courtyard of Lee Tung Street and lasted approximately 45 minutes. During the parade, the LED fire dragon interacted brilliantly with the lion dancers and percussion team, drawing enthusiastic cheers and applause from the audience. Several designated performance segments along the route, accompanied by stunning smoke effects and the auspicious dragon playing with a pearl, further elevated the atmosphere to a climax.

Additionally, from now until October 26, Lee Tung Street is hosting the outdoor lantern festival. Over 800 colorful traditional Chinese lanterns are hung along the 200-meter-long tree-lined avenue. This year, goldfish lanterns, symbolizing wealth and prosperity, have been specially introduced, adding a vibrant and poetic festive touch to the bustling streets of Wan Chai.
