Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance
The Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance in Causeway Bay is a traditional custom. According to legend, during the Mid-Autumn Festival in the 19th century, a plague broke out. A villager received a dream from a deity, instructing them to dance with a fire dragon and beat drums around the village for three consecutive nights during the festival to drive away the plague. This practice succeeded and became a local custom. Today, it is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage and attracts large audiences each year.
