The threat posed by Typhoon Ragasa to Hong Kong has substantially diminished. At 11:20 a.m. today (Sept. 25), the HK Observatory officially cancelled all tropical cyclone warning signals.
The Observatory predicts that HK will experience generally cloudy skies today, with occasional heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts of wind. Some areas may see heavier rainfall initially. Moderate to fresh easterly to southeasterly winds are expected, with strong winds occasionally affecting offshore areas and high ground.
The sea conditions remain rough, with large waves and swells anticipated. Looking ahead, the Observatory forecasts that showers will decrease in the next one to two days, with weather gradually improving. By early next week, brief periods of sunshine are expected, along with a few isolated showers.
