Bald swimmer spotted at Golden Beach during No. 10 Signal, police called to scene

Super Typhoon Ragasa brought fierce winds and heavy rain to Hong Kong as the Observatory issued the Hurricane Signal No. 10 at 2:40 a.m. today (Sept. 24). Later in the day, at 1:20 p.m., the Southeast Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 replaced the No. 10 signal.

During the No. 10 signal, a bald man wearing clothing was spotted swimming at Golden Beach in Tuen Mun. The unusual and dangerous behavior prompted concerned passersby to call the police.

At 12:03 p.m., police received the report and dispatched officers to the scene. Upon arrival, officers urged the man to stop swimming and leave the beach for his safety.
