
Cathay Pacific announced today (Sept. 20) that it is closely monitoring the weather conditions as tropical cyclone Ragasa approaches Hong Kong. The airline stated that it will make necessary operational decisions promptly once the storm's impact becomes clearer. Customers will be informed in a timely manner about any changes.
In light of the approaching tropical cyclone, Cathay Pacific has waived rebooking and rerouting fees for affected passengers. According to Cathay's official website, this special waiver applies to all Cathay tickets issued globally on or before Sept. 19, 2025. The waiver covers confirmed Cathay Pacific flights to and from HK (HKG) scheduled between Sept. 23 and 25, 2025.
Greater Bay Airlines has announced that passengers with flights scheduled to depart from Sept. 23 to 26, 2025, can rebook their tickets. Additionally, travelers originally set to fly on Sept. 24, 2025, are eligible for a full refund upon request.
Hong Kong Airlines, anticipating potential delays or cancellations for flights between Sept. 23 and 25, has also waived rebooking fees.
