With National Day celebrations approaching, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government and various sectors are launching a series of festive activities and special offers to celebrate with residents and visitors. Citybus announced that on Oct. 1, children will be able to enjoy free rides on over 160 daytime bus routes.
On National Day, passengers aged 4 to 11 using a Child Octopus card or other electronic payment methods accepted by Citybus can enjoy free bus rides. Riders simply need to tap their card or scan their payment device as usual when boarding, and the system will not deduct any fare.
However, the promotion does not apply to Citybus Airport Express (A routes), Cross-Boundary (B routes), Sightseeing (H routes), Overnight (N and NA routes), or non-franchised bus routes.
Citybus stated that the free ride promotion aims to enhance the festive spirit and provide seamless travel across Hong Kong. Covering routes across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories, the offer encourages families to explore the city, enjoy outings, and support local businesses during the National Day holiday.
