The 2025 International Motor Show Germany (IAA Mobility) was held in Munich from September 9 to 14. As one of the world's top five auto shows, this largest automotive event in Europe welcomed a formidable Chinese presence.
Among the 748 exhibitors this year, 116 were Chinese automakers and suppliers, accounting for one-third of overseas participants—a sharp 40% increase compared to 2023—demonstrating the ambition of "Chinese smart manufacturing" to expand into the European market through collective efforts.
At this year's show, BYD became one of the focal points. Its globally debuted latest-generation "DM-i Hybrid Technology" offers a comprehensive range of 1,350 kilometers, directly challenging the core advantage of traditional diesel vehicles' long endurance. Additionally, its DENZA brand introduced "Megawatt Flash Charging" technology, which provides 400 kilometers of range with just five minutes of charging, rivaling the efficiency of fuel-powered vehicles. BYD's dealership network has expanded from 26 last year to 100, with plans to reach 300 by the end of next year.
AAC Technologies showcased its in-car karaoke and immersive audio systems, adding fun to the driving experience. A representative stated that the auto show allowed them to hear more feedback from European consumers, which will inform future technology planning and product design.
