The Chinese film Dead To Rights premiered in Munich, Germany, on August 28 local time. Set against the historical backdrop of the 1937 Nanjing Massacre, the screening attracted plenty of local overseas Chinese and German citizens.

A Chinese audience member who has lived in Germany for 45 years shared that Germans have always faced the history of war directly and hope to collectively heal the wounds of war. This film, he said, provided him with a more intuitive understanding of the tragic history of the Nanjing Massacre, allowing him to deeply feel the immense suffering war inflicted on countless civilians. He also expressed great admiration for the Chinese people who risked their lives to preserve this part of the nation's history. The film also serves as a reminder not to forget history and to cherish today's peace.

Since its release in China on July 25, 2025, Dead To Rights has achieved both box office success and critical acclaim. It won three awards at the 20th Changchun Film Festival: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

It is reported that Dead To Rights will also be screened in multiple European countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom, and France, allowing more overseas audiences to remember history and cherish peace through cinema.
