On September 3, a grand ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
Colonel Tan Hongmei, a member of China's seventh batch of female pilots, serves as the captain of the Y-20A tanker aircraft, showcasing the domestically produced large military plane in the "refueling aircraft formation." Her calm professionalism, along with her "charming and cool" demeanor, attracts the attention of many spectators.
Tan Hongmei was among the first pilots to transition to the Y-20 and quickly achieved solo flight status among her peers, becoming one of the few Y-20 captains and the first female captain of this aircraft model.
