During a performance in Xining, Qinghai, on the evening of Aug. 23, singer Aska Yang accidentally stepped backward off the stage, falling from a height of approximately two meters. Eyewitnesses reported that he appeared to hit his head and briefly lost consciousness.
In the early hours of the morning, Yang posted on Weibo to reassure everyone of his condition, stating he is fine and expressing his apologies for causing concern.
Footage captured by attendees shows Yang being helped up by staff, visibly in pain and unable to straighten his back. The concert was subsequently suspended, and he was taken away by an ambulance.
In his detailed Weibo post, Yang expressed gratitude to the organizers for their immediate support, the medical personnel for their care, and his friends and fans for their concern. He emotionally stated, "I really love you all, so much love, only love," and concluded by asking everyone not to worry, promising that he would be fine.
The incident has drawn significant attention and concern from fans and netizens alike.
