Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, and his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez, 31, are officially engaged after nearly a decade together. On Aug. 11, Georgina shared a photo on social media, showing off a massive diamond ring on her left ring finger.
Jewelry experts estimate the engagement ring to be between 10 and 15 carats, valued at over US$1 million (approximately HK$7.85 million). In her post, Georgina captioned the photo in Spanish: "Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas," which translates to "Yes, I do. In this life and in all my lives."
Their love story began in late 2016 when Ronaldo, then playing for Real Madrid, met Georgina at a brand event in Madrid. The couple made their relationship public in early 2017. After nine years of being together, they have now taken their relationship to the next level.
Ronaldo is a father of five, with three of his children born from previous relationships. Georgina gave birth to their daughter Alana in 2017. In 2021, the couple announced they were expecting twins. Tragically, in April 2022, while their daughter Bella was born healthy, their baby boy passed away.
