Hong Kong police have confirmed the recovery of the head of a decapitated body found earlier today (Aug. 5) on Kennedy Road, outside the St. Francis' Canossian School in Wan Chai.
According to media reports, amid heavy black rainstorm warnings, police launched a search for the missing head and later confirmed that it was not missing but had been forcefully impacted into the torso due to the immense force of the fall. The deceased was identified as a foreign male who fell from a residential building, Monticello, nearby.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. when the body of a headless man was discovered in a flower bed.
The victim's legs were found beneath a tree outside the school, while the upper torso was located under a tree on the opposite side of the road. Part of a metal railing in the flower bed was bent due to the force of the impact. Initially, the whereabouts of the victim's head were unclear.
Emergency personnel, including police officers and paramedics, arrived at the scene and noted that the victim was missing both his head and left foot. During the investigation, the household helper of the deceased discovered the balcony door of the victim's Monticello unit open and noticed a large police presence downstairs. She went to the scene and later confirmed with officers that the decapitated body was her employer.
