The Hong Kong Observatory issued a black rain warning signal today (Aug. 5). Due to the heavy rain, many areas in Hong Kong are experiencing severe flooding. A netizen uploaded a video on social media showing the turbulent waters of Kam Tin River, where two private cars are trapped.
The video reveals the fast-flowing, muddy yellow water of Kam Tin River. Two cars are stuck in the middle of the riverbed; one car is upside down with its four wheels in the air, most of its body submerged in water, and covered in a large amount of vegetation; the other car is partially above water, also covered in debris.
Netizens commented: "Has anyone lost their car? You can check Kam Tin River; there are two cars visible."
