The British band Coldplay inadvertently revealed an affair between a tech company's CEO and HR manager during a concert in Boston, USA, causing a major stir. The female fan who recorded and shared the "awkward cheating clip" ended up benefiting from the situation, using the attention to pay off her US$80,000 (approximately HK$620,000) student loan, becoming the biggest winner in the whole incident!
27-year-old bar staff member Grace Springer accidentally captured the footage and posted it on a short video-sharing platform, where views quickly surpassed 120 million. Experts estimate that if Grace had participated in the platform's creator fund, she could earn between £800 to £1,200 (approximately HK$8,440 to HK$12,000) for every million views, potentially making up to £144,000 (around HK$1.51 million) from the video. However, Grace recently stated on her social media profile, "Please help me pay off my student loans," admitting that she hasn't received any earnings from the viral clip.
As a result, a large number of netizens responded enthusiastically, and within just a few days, she received a substantial amount in donations, successfully paying off her long-standing US$80,000 student loan.
