Coldplay's Boston concert turns into a "caught in the act" scene. Astronomer CEO Andy Byron spotted cheating with CPO Kristin Cabot during the "kiss cam" segment, trending on X. After days of fallout, Astronomer announces Byron's resignation.
On July 19, Astronomer released a statement on LinkedIn indicating that Andy Byron has stepped down as CEO. The company's board of directors has accepted Byron's resignation and will begin the search for a new CEO. The statement emphasized that Astronomer has always upheld its core values and culture since its inception, expecting leadership to set a standard for behavior and accountability, which has not been met recently. The statement did not mention the whereabouts of the other party involved.
According to reports, Byron took over Astronomer in July 2023 and has two children with his wife, while Kristin Cabot, the other main figure in the incident, is Astronomer's CPO and joined the company in November 2024, also married. After the incident broke, Cabot's ex-husband has shut down all social media accounts, and Byron's wife's Facebook account was deleted due to an influx of comments from netizens.
