The Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, posted on social media today (July 28) about his visit to the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) yesterday, where he experienced the lively atmosphere and business opportunities.
Chan noted that he has supported the ACGHK for many years and has witnessed its continuous expansion. He praised the professionalism and attention to detail of the participating cosplayers. He took the opportunity to pose for photos with several cosplayers and heard attendees joking, "It looks like someone is cosplaying as Paul Chan?" He described how everyone was thoroughly engaged and enjoying themselves at the event.

Chan mentioned that this year marks the 26th edition of the ACGHK, which was bustling at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Centre. He felt the unique atmosphere, rich in diversity and a blend of Eastern and Western cultures. He pointed out that the venue gathered toy designers from 12 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, many of whom reported good business this year. He emphasized that Hong Kong serves as a world-class platform to help them promote their works to the Greater Bay Area, Asia, and globally.

Chan also made a special visit to the HK Comics Support Programme booth, funded by the Create Hong Kong Office, where he interacted with emerging local comic artists and purchased some of their works. He expressed his hope that everyone would support the robust growth of Hong Kong's creative industry.
