Typhoon Wipha approaches Hong Kong; Hurricane No. 10 Signal is currently in effect. Several areas have reported fallen trees and collapsed scaffolding due to the wind and rain, with many citizens using social media to report incidents and alert pedestrians and drivers to road conditions.
As at noon today, the government's 1823 Call Centre and the Fire Services Department received 76 reports and 164 reports of fallen trees respectively. No report of landslide or flooding has been received so far. According to the Hospital Authority, as at 12 noon today, seven males and seven females have sought medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Departments at public hospitals so far during the typhoon period.





Additionally, scaffolding has collapsed in multiple locations.
