The 2025 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) results were officially released today (July 16), with a record 16 top scorers this year. Among them, Wang Haibo, a male student from the Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College, achieved a total of eight 5** results, including Chinese, English, Mathematics, and four elective subjects. He also attained 5** in the Mathematics Extended Part and met the standards in Citizenship and Social Development, making him the "ultimate top scorer" and setting a new record for the highest score in DSE history.
The school described Wang Haibo as "humble and diligent". In class, he is focused and attentive, and after class, he actively engages in thoughtful questioning. Even after mastering the material, he continues to reflect and strive for improvement. Notably, he took the initiative to challenge himself by self-studying economics, achieving excellent results in the subject due to his strong self-discipline and research spirit, showcasing extraordinary learning and time management abilities.
The school also noted that Wang Haibo is not only a standout student in his class but has also earned praise from teachers and peers for his humility. He frequently shares his study methods with classmates and takes on the role of a "question responder" in class. In the future, he hopes to become a doctor with both wisdom and empathy, contributing his efforts to serve society.
