Recently, a Chinese tour group visiting Italy had all their luggage stolen, leaving all 30 members of the group without their belongings. The reported losses amount to hundreds of thousands of yuan in valuables.
The incident occurred on July 3 after the tour group visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the morning. They then went to a remote restaurant for lunch, with the tour bus parked outside the restaurant. While the tourists were dining, the bus door was pried open, and all the luggage on board was stolen.
Following the incident, some tourists criticized the Italian police for merely taking statements without conducting a serious investigation. The tour group has returned to China.
