
Recently, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy declared in Parliament that the British government would allocate US$800 million to investigate alleged "Chinese espionage activities."
In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that China is willing to develop China-UK relations based on mutual respect and proper handling of differences. However, he emphasized that China firmly opposes any slander, defamation, or baseless accusations.
