On July 12, Beijing time, Chinese duo Wang Chuqin and Liang Jingkun were eliminated in the Men's Doubles semifinals of the WTT US Smash.
The pair suffered a 0-3 defeat (8-11, 6-11, 8-11) to the French brothers Alexis Lebrun and Felix Lebrun, missing out on a spot in the final.
Wang and Liang, who clinched the Men's Doubles title at last year's WTT China Smash, entered the tournament as wildcard competitors and were seeded third. However, they faced a tough challenge against the world's No. 1 ranked French duo, who are also considered key rivals for China's national team in preparation for the 2028 Olympics.
