The WTT US Smash 2025 saw action in the women's doubles Round of 16 on July 10. After claiming the women's doubles title at the 2023 WTT Finals in Nagoya, Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu reunited on the court and delivered an impressive performance. The duo secured a clean 3-0 victory (11-8, 11-5, 11-5) over the cross-association pair of Adriana Diaz and Prithika Pavade, marking a successful return to competition.

Another pair from the national team, Wang Yidi and Kuai Man, also advanced to the quarterfinals with a dominant 3-0 win against Germany's Sabine Winter and Yuan Wan. They will next face the formidable Japanese duo of Hina Hayata and Mima Ito, who themselves claimed a 3-0 victory over the cross-association team of Adina Diaconu and Maria Xiao.
