This summer, the beloved anime CHIIKAWA takes center stage as Hong Kong MTR collaborates with creative brand AllRightsReserved to launch the CHIIKAWA DAYS-themed light rail train.
This initiative ties in with the CHIIKAWA DAYS exhibition and promises a memorable journey for fans. Debuting on Saturday, July 12, the themed train will operate until August 31, featuring adorable characters such as CHIIKAWA, Hachiware, and Usagi, bringing joy to passengers as they explore the community and create lasting memories.
The CHIIKAWA DAYS-themed light rail train will run across Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai as part of the regular light rail service. On weekends, it will operate exclusively on the "Tuen Mun Voyager" tourism route, making it easier for fans to enjoy a unique and photo-worthy experience.
The train's exterior features vibrant artwork inspired by the anime's daytime forest setting, with characters like CHIIKAWA, Hachiware, and Usagi carrying their iconic weapons or enjoying food with friends, inviting passengers to immerse themselves in the CHIIKAWA world.
Passengers interested in riding the "Tuen Mun Voyager" can purchase a HK$50 "Light Rail Travel Pass" set at Siu Hong Station. The set includes:
- Light Rail Travel Pass
- CHIIKAWA DAYS themed envelope and sticker
- Coupons of physical stores of MTR e-Store and selected MTR Shops
Each train has a passenger limit, and the travel pass sets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited, and once sold out, no additional sets will be issued.
