In the 1920s, the two daughters of a coppersmith Jiang Liren, rented a shop in the Fire Palace to make both sweet and savory rice balls (Steamed Glutinous Rice Ball with meat & sugar). The sisters were skilled and creative, crafting delicious dumplings that were also visually appealing. As a result, they gained a lot of customers, and people began calling them'sister's rice balls'.
