Liverpool soccer star Diogo Jota has tragically passed away at the age of 28 following a car accident in Spain.
According to British and Spanish media reports on Thursday (July 3), Jota was traveling on the A-52 highway in the Zamora province of Spain. He was accompanied by his 26-year-old brother, André Silva, who is also a footballer.
Their vehicle veered off the road, resulting in a collision and subsequently catching fire. Despite the rapid response of rescue personnel, both Diogo Jota and his brother were pronounced dead. Eyewitnesses reported that the car caught fire immediately after the crash, with flames quickly intensifying.
