Recently, the Labubu craze has taken the world by storm. Netizens discovered that a fecal suction truck in Changsha, Hunan Province, was surprisingly adorned with a rare third-generation hidden edition Labubu figure. This figure is valued at RMB 2,000 (approximately HK$2,185), and when users tried to "scoop a deal," they found out that it had already been purchased by a clever man for just RMB 99.
According to mainland media reports, a netizen named Ms. Xiao from Changsha shared on social media that while taking out the trash in her community, she spotted a gray Labubu hanging from the back of a fecal suction truck. Finding it amusing and interesting, she took a photo and uploaded it. Other netizens alerted her that this could be a rare and authentic hidden edition figure with significant value. After learning this, Ms. Xiao waited for four consecutive days and finally encountered the truck again, asking the driver for details.
The truck driver revealed that he had found the Labubu on the street one day and thought it was fun, so he hung it on the truck as decoration. A young man in the community had previously set his sights on the figure and proactively offered to buy it. The driver initially intended to give it away for free, but the young man insisted on paying RMB 99 and successfully took the figure home.
Afterward, the man checked the figure's serial number and confirmed that it was indeed an authentic third-generation hidden edition Labubu, valued at RMB 2,000. The driver also showed Ms. Xiao a screenshot of the authenticity verification he received and humorously wrote on social media, "The last owner didn't cherish you; I will take care of you."
