According to CCTV News, in the early hours of June 17 local time, an Air India flight traveling from San Francisco, with a stop in Kolkata on its way to Mumbai, encountered a technical failure, causing passengers to disembark at Kolkata airport as originally scheduled. It was reported that one of the engines on the flight had a technical malfunction.
