According to CCTV, the situation in Los Angeles has grown increasingly turbulent over the past several days. Speaking on June 10 (local time), LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell reported a sharp rise in arrests related to ongoing protest activities.
McDonnell provided arrest figures for the past four days:
- June 7: 27 arrests
- June 8: 40 arrests
- June 9: 114 arrests

Among those detained on June 10, 67 individuals were arrested for illegally occupying a section of the 101 Freeway.
McDonnell remarked that since June 7, the city has experienced escalating unrest, with illegal and dangerous behaviors on the rise, contributing to a deeply concerning situation.
In response to the mounting tension, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced at a press conference on the evening of June 10 that a curfew would be implemented from 8:00 p.m. on June 10 to 6:00 a.m. on June 11, covering approximately one square mile of the downtown area.
Authorities warned that anyone found within the curfew zone during restricted hours, unless officially exempted, may be subject to legal arrest.
