UK private jet company Aviamarket in London recently advertised a job opening, looking for one or two candidates dedicated to looking after the CEO Viktor Martynov's cat, Jerry.
According to BBC, the "cat sitter" role requires only 8 to 12 hours of work per week, with the rate between £65 to £100 an hour (approximately HK$686 to HK$1,055). Calculated as a full-time position, the annual salary could reach up to £135,000 (about HK$1.42 million). The company says it has already received over 250 applications.
Martynov stated that due to his busy schedule, he often brings Jerry to the office, and the cat's presence has brought colleagues closer together. Some colleagues have a morning tradition of touching the cat at the start of the day, which cheers up the office.
The CEO says that Jerry even helped get a deal. During one tense negotiation, Jerry jumped onto a client's lap, who happened to be a cat lover. Ultimately, both sides signed a contract for the business jet deal.

The report indicates that applicants need animal care experience and good time management skills, and must "ensure a calm, respectful environment suitable for a sensitive animal". Duties include feeding fresh milk and food twice daily, cleaning the litter box, playing classical music for Jerry every Friday, and conducting gentle daily grooming.
