A significant advancement is anticipated for the "Hong Kong-Macao-Zhuhai Island" low-altitude passenger routes. Following the launch of unmanned cargo routes like "Tangjiagang-Guishan Island," Zhuhai has recently received approval for the local standard project, "Guidelines for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Island Express Delivery Services."

The Zhuhai Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone has also introduced new measures to foster low-altitude commuter routes between Zhuhai urban areas and islands, as well as between Hong Kong-Macao and islands. Companies launching new cross-border routes can receive a reward of RMB 150,000.

Zhuhai, known as the "City of a Hundred Islands," boasts the largest marine area and the most islands in the Pearl River Delta, with over 140 islands. The Wanshan area has already established three unmanned cargo routes, accumulating over 1,300 flights and transporting nearly 3,400 items. The Tangjiagang is the country's first eVTOL operational base for both passenger and cargo services.

The recently approved local standards will regulate the application of drones in island express delivery, enhancing logistics efficiency and service quality. Additionally, Zhuhai's new low-altitude economic support policy offers one-time subsidies for companies launching drone logistics routes, encourages unique projects like drone performances, and aims to develop low-altitude commuter routes.

Zhuhai plans to create a "Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Linked Model" to achieve low-altitude airspace sharing and data interoperability. As a pilot city for low-altitude airspace management reform, Zhuhai aims to streamline direct flight times to under one hour for cities like Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, establishing an efficient low-altitude transportation network.
