The iPad version of WhatsApp has finally landed on the App Store, allowing users to download it starting today (May 28).
This version is similar in functionality to the iPhone version, enabling users to join video and voice calls with up to 32 people, use both front and rear cameras on the iPad, and share their screen with others. WhatsApp officials also noted that the iPad version is designed for multitasking, utilizing iPadOS features, enabling users to view multiple apps at once and send messages instantly while using other apps. The application also supports the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
According to the officials, all data on iPhone, Mac, and other devices remains synchronized, with user personal messages, calls, and media protected by end-to-end encryption technology. Additional privacy protection mechanisms, such as chat locking, are also provided, ensuring that conversations remain secure even when using the iPad with others.
