In a city of lights and motion, not everyone begins with the same opportunities. Yet, when one heart chooses to give, it can illuminate the life of another. Every act of kindness, every gentle glance, every word of care adds a spark to something bigger — the power of love.
The 9th annual Serve-a-thon, organized by HandsOn Hong Kong, runs from 17 to 25 May 2025. It is more than an event — it is a movement built on compassion and community action. Partnering with local NGOs, we mobilize thousands of volunteers to serve across sectors: visiting the elderly, supporting vulnerable youth, protecting animals, and connecting with those in need.
We believe that volunteering is not just about helping — it's about connecting. Connecting people with each other, connecting us to our communities, and connecting our city to its own heart.
Here, we share the voices of four individuals involved in this year's Serve-a-thon. From charity leaders to everyday volunteers, each of their stories reminds us how love, when put into action, becomes a force that transforms.
