
UOB Hong Kong is excited to announce the opening of entries for the prestigious 2025 UOB Art in Ink Awards (the Awards), inviting artistic talents to showcase their creativity in ink. Submissions will be accepted until 21 September 2025.
Winners will share prizes totalling over HK$330,000, including cash prizes, an overseas artist residency programme for the winner of the UOB InkArt of the Year Award and a bespoke learning programme for the winner of the Most Promising Artist of the Year Award. In addition, all winners will gain access to the UOB Artist Alumni Network, designed to support UOB artists by enhancing their profiles and foster cultural exchange across the region.
Ms. Adaline Zheng, CEO of UOB HK, said, "We are delighted to announce this new edition of the UOB Art in Ink Awards. Since its inception in HK in 2017, the Awards has provided a platform for artistic talents to stretch their creative boundaries and explore the versatility of ink as a medium."
This year is particularly significant as UOB HK celebrates its 60th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of the UOB Art Academy, a registered charity that serves as the art partner for this competition. UOB HK is proud to introduce a new and independent judging panel which comprises of distinguished art professionals and industry leaders from diverse backgrounds.
The panel features Dr. Kan Tai Keung, SBS BBS AGI, world-renowned artist and designer; Dr. Lesley Lau, Director of Sun Museum; Mr. Ou Da Wei, renowned HK artist; and Professor Tong Kam Tang, Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The Awards is open to all HK residents aged 9 and above and features three categories: Open Category (aged 18 and above), Senior Student Category (aged 13 to 17) and Junior Student Category (aged 9 to 12). Entry is free, and aspiring artists and art enthusiasts can submit a maximum of one artwork utilising ink in each of the following genres: Abstract and Landscape or Figurative.
