
On the final day of the mainland's "Golden Week" (May 5), the Immigration Department recorded nearly 520,000 entries and exits across various ports by 4 PM. The total number of incoming travelers was close to 260,000, with over 180,000 being Hong Kong residents, the majority of whom returned via the Lo Wu port.
Regarding departures, nearly 260,000 people left, with over 168,000 being Hong Kong residents and approximately 65,000 mainland travelers. The Lo Wu port saw the highest number of outbound travelers, followed by the airport and Lok Ma Chau port.
