Early this morning (May 5), around 1 AM, a man caused a scene at the Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel interchange after drinking excessively.
Police received a report at 1:25 AM and classified the case as a discovery of an intoxicated person upon arrival. The man, a 28-year-old from the mainland surnamed Wang, sustained injuries to his head and limbs and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Videos circulating online show a man lying in the middle of the road leading towards Kowloon, near the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Vehicles were continuously passing by, with some drivers slowing down or stopping upon seeing him. At one point, a taxi approached, and the man suddenly jumped up and ran towards the taxi, seemingly attempting to stage an accident. The taxi swerved to avoid him, and the man fell back to the ground once again.
