The U.S. needs to stop threats and treat China equally before resolving problems through dialogue, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said today (April 29).
Guo held a regular press conference today. A journalist asked about the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's response this morning regarding Boeing's plans to deliver aircraft, stating that the ministry expressed willingness to support cooperation between Chinese enterprises and Boeing.
"Does this indicate a shift in China's stance towards Boeing and the import of products from the U.S.? Will China see this as a means to ease tensions?"
Guo responded that regarding specific project cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce has already issued relevant press releases for reference.
He emphasized that China's position on tariff issues has been consistent, and reiterated that if the U.S. wishes to resolve problems through dialogue, it must stop threats and pressure, and engage in discussions with China based on equality, respect, and reciprocity.
