
The first-ever concert at the Kai Tak Stadium, "Coldplay: Music Of The Spheres World Tour," kicks off today (April 8), with the final show scheduled for Saturday (April 12).
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, a low-pressure trough is expected to form over central China near the weekend and develop into a cold front, which will cross Guangdong on Saturday. Associated showers, strong winds, and thunderstorms are likely to affect the region.
The Observatory reported weak winds along the coast of Guangdong, with a cloud band currently covering the area. For HK, mostly cloudy weather is forecast for this afternoon and evening, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 26°C. Brief sunny intervals are expected this afternoon, with light winds prevailing.
In the next two to three days, a southerly airstream will bring humid and foggy conditions to the coastal areas of Guangdong, with daytime temperatures remaining warm. On Friday (April 11), sunny periods are anticipated during parts of the day.
Meanwhile, showers associated with upper-level disturbances will impact inland Guangdong. A low-pressure trough forming over central China is expected to develop into a cold front, which will cross Guangdong on Saturday. The cold front will bring showers, strong winds, and thunderstorms to the region. HK is expected to see mostly cloudy weather on Saturday, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 24°C.
Looking ahead, a dry continental airstream is expected to reduce showers over Guangdong early next week. The weather is forecast to improve, with cooler temperatures and clearer skies.
