IShowSpeed, a popular American YouTuber with 38 million followers, continued his China tour by visiting Shenzhen on April 5, following his trip to Hong Kong. During his livestream, he was amazed by China's cutting-edge technologies, including Huawei's foldable smartphones, drone food delivery, and BYD's Yangwang U8 SUV.
BYD's amphibious SUV leaves IShowSpeed in awe
The first stop of IShowSpeed's Shenzhen adventure was a ride in BYD's high-end electric SUV, the Yangwang U8, which features water-driving capabilities. Before boarding, he was afraid that the car would sink, and hesitated to fasten his seatbelt. As the car smoothly entered the water, he shouted, "Oh my god!" repeatedly, mistaking the car's movement for sinking and pleading to return to shore. The innovative "made-in-China" technology left him thoroughly impressed.
Huawei's foldable phones impress with "crazy" features
At the Huawei flagship store in Shenzhen's MixC World, IShowSpeed was captivated by the latest triple-foldable smartphones, purchasing three Huawei Mate XTs on the spot. He eagerly unboxed them in the car, exclaiming, "This Huawei phone is crazy!"
Drone delivery sparks "China is different!" reaction
Later, IShowSpeed experienced Meituan's drone food delivery service in Shenzhen Talent Park. Within minutes, a drone delivered his meal from the sky, leaving him astounded. He exclaimed repeatedly, "China is different!" in admiration of the futuristic service.
IShowSpeed's Shenzhen visit attracted millions of viewers to his livestream, with Shenzhen's Window of the World displaying a banner reading, "IShowSpeed, you're one of us in Shenzhen!"
His China tour has already included stops in HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Henan, and Sichuan, where he participated in unique cultural experiences like "villain hitting," bean juice tasting, and riding shared bicycles.
