
Starting today (March 31), the 60th anniversary exhibition of the Dongjiang water supply to Hong Kong is being held at the Central Market on the 2nd floor for four consecutive days. The opening ceremony took place this morning. The exhibition, themed "涓涓甲子意,碧波潤香江" (Endless Water, Enriching Hong Kong), presents a panoramic view of various historical stages. It showcases the efforts made by Guangdong Province to safeguard Hong Kong's lifeline through the construction and maintenance of the Dongshen water supply project.

In her speech, Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn emphasized the importance of sustainable management and efficient use of water resources for the future development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He noted that there is a strong foundation for water resource cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, with plans to deepen collaboration further. This includes promoting coordinated development in water resource management, fostering innovation in water infrastructure, and optimizing water resource allocation for a secure future. Hong Kong will continue to work with cities in the Greater Bay Area to establish a digital water reservoir, aiming for high-quality development.
