Hong Kong is currently experiencing hot and humid weather, with occasional sunshine and isolated showers today (March 27). However, the Hong Kong Observatory has forecast a dramatic weather change starting tomorrow.

According to meteorologists, a cold front will reach Hong Kong tomorrow night (March 28), causing temperatures to drop sharply by 12°C overnight. The maximum daytime temperature is expected to reach 29°C, but by the following morning (March 29), it will plunge to 17°C.

The Hong Kong Observatory explained that a southerly airstream is currently affecting the region, leading to hot and humid conditions along the Guangdong coast, with low visibility in some areas. However, a cold front will move southward toward the coast by tomorrow, bringing showers and possible thunderstorms to inland areas.

Based on the nine-day weather forecast, temperatures are expected to climb after the cold front passes gradually. By April 4 (Qingming Festival), the maximum temperature could reach 26°C, with partly sunny conditions.

The Hong Kong Observatory has advised residents to prepare for cooler temperatures and potential rainy conditions over the weekend. Commuters should also know about reduced visibility and possible thunderstorms when traveling tomorrow.

With such a dramatic temperature shift, residents are encouraged to dress accordingly and stay updated on the latest weather forecasts.
