Customs authorities at West Kowloon Station recently intercepted a female traveler attempting to smuggle luxury watches by concealing them under her feet, according to an official announcement on the "Customs Release" WeChat subscription account today (March 25).

A total of seven high-end watches were seized, including three Cartier Ballon Bleu and four Omega watches, with an estimated value exceeding RMB 400,000.

The incident occurred when customs officers noticed the traveler acting suspiciously and walking abnormally as she passed through the customs control zone without declaring any items. Upon stopping and inspecting her, officers discovered that she had wrapped the watches in plastic wrap and hidden them on the soles of her feet.

During questioning, the woman admitted that she had been commissioned by another party to transport the watches in exchange for a fee.
