An incident of child neglect occurred in Wong Tai Sin. Yesterday evening (March 24) at around 7 pm, a passerby noticed a 5-year-old boy wandering alone on the street near 100 Ching Tak Street and called the police for assistance. Officers arrived on the scene and took the boy back to his residence for investigation.
Subsequently, the police discovered another boy and a girl, who were siblings of the 5-year-old. Paramedics arrived to check on all three children and later transported them to the hospital for further examination. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident, categorizing it as "Ill-treatment or neglect by those in charge of child or young person." The mother of the children, a 35-year-old woman with the surname Ng, has been arrested in connection with the case.
