A dangerous incident unfolded this morning (March 21) at Queen's Hill Estate in Fanling, Hong Kong. At 10:32 a.m., two boys, approximately 4 to 5 years old, were spotted climbing out of a low-floor unit window of Wong Lok House and sitting precariously on the building's exterior ledge, putting themselves at extreme risk.
The fire services were immediately alerted and arrived promptly at the scene. Firefighters broke into the unit and successfully rescued the two boys.
Photos captured by bystanders show the boys dressed in black long-sleeved shirts and pants, sitting separately on different levels of the building's ledge. During the rescue, an adult inside the unit was seen reaching out to one of the boys, assisting firefighters in the operation.
Police located the boys' parents inside the unit and have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Both boys are now safe, and further inquiry into the matter is ongoing.
