Hong Kong's first taxi fleet is expected to officially commence operations by the end of this month. To facilitate the pickup of pre-booked passengers, the Transport Department has announced the establishment of approximately 80 dedicated parking spaces at 13 designated locations, including Hong Kong International Airport, certain cross-boundary checkpoints, Hong Kong West Kowloon station, several MTR stations, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, and Disneyland.

The Department stated that these parking areas will display QR codes for each taxi fleet's online booking service, making it convenient for residents and travelers to make reservations.

It is reported that the five taxi fleets will provide over 3,500 taxis, including 300 wheelchair-accessible taxis. All taxis will display the words "TAXI" and "的士" (taxi in Chinese) on both sides of the vehicle. They will also show the fleet's taxi permits and identification plates in designated areas. The color of the identification plates will correspond to the operational areas of the vehicles, with urban taxis having red identification plates.
