The 2025 Hong Kong Flower Show will kick off tomorrow (March 14) at Victoria Park, running for 10 consecutive days from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
This year's theme, "Ablaze with Glory," highlights the cosmos flower as the star attraction, accompanied by a variety of unique features for visitors to enjoy. Guests can take photos at the iconic giant floral wall, explore themed gardens inspired by global landmarks, and interact with adorable panda installations. Additionally, the show will exhibit the whimsical furniture art pieces by HK's beloved artist "Fapopo," often referred to as the "Kusama of HK."

Organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the flower show features 238 exhibitors from countries including Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Poland, and the US. The event is expected to draw 650,000 visitors.
The show's centerpiece is the giant floral wall, designed with vibrant cosmos flowers to symbolize resilience and happiness. The wall features six large floral clusters, each with a diameter ranging from 1.4 to 2.1 meters, crafted using colorful orchids and carnations. In front of the wall lies a breathtaking sea of nearly 10,000 tulips.

Visitors can also tour the "Around the World" display gardens along the park's main axis, showcasing attractions like Dutch windmills, Greek blue-and-white houses, French lavender fields, African gorilla sculptures, the Himalayas, Mount Fuji, the Mayan pyramids, and Easter Island statues, offering a global journey within the park.

Art enthusiasts can admire the works of 94-year-old local artist "Fapopo," who decorates everyday objects like frying pans, folding chairs, and plastic basins with floral patterns in her signature vibrant style. Her playful creations have earned her comparisons to Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
The flower show also features interactive activities, such as plant exhibitions, the "Ablaze with Glory" photography competition, school art competitions, greening workshops, storytelling sessions, and floral arrangement demonstrations. Performances like magic shows, street music, and inflatable slides add to the fun, making the event enjoyable for all ages.

The show also features panda-themed installations scattered throughout the park, including the six pandas based in HK, which are also part of the Ocean Park's themed garden.

In celebration of the 15th National Games and the 12th Paralympic Games, the flower show includes five crescent-shaped art installations themed around sports. Visitors can also take photos with the National Games mascots displayed at the event.
