
At around 10 a.m. on March 11, a fire broke out in a unit at Lung Hei House, Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, Hong Kong. Fire services were immediately dispatched after receiving the alert, deploying one hose and a breathing apparatus team. After approximately 26 minutes of firefighting, the blaze was brought under control, and a woman in her 60s was rescued from the unit.
The woman sustained severe burns to her face and hands and was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital for emergency treatment. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries around midday.
During the fire, more than 40 residents evacuated the building on their own. No other injuries were reported.
