Madam Hong Cafe, operated by the Fu Hong Society, is part of the Social Welfare Department's Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise, aimed at providing job opportunities for people with disabilities. Located on the 8th floor of the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, the café offers stunning views of Ap Lei Chau and Lei Yue Mun. Customers enjoy delicious food while supporting the employment of individuals with disabilities.
With over 30 employees, about 60% are people with disabilities, including waiter Albert. He has worked in the social enterprise for six years and is responsible for serving and collecting dishes. Albert is known for his excellent customer service and often recommends menu items.

Ms. Lau, the café supervisor, praises Albert's dedication and highlights the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the job market. She emphasizes the need for employers to understand their unique needs and adjust work conditions accordingly.
Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise Project, launched in 2001, supports Albert in creating small businesses to provide job opportunities for people with disabilities. As of January this year, the program has allocated over HK$175 million, creating around 1,430 jobs, with 70% specifically for individuals with disabilities. The goal is to promote inclusion and encourage more employers to hire disabled individuals, helping them integrate into society.
