According to CCTV news, on the afternoon of March 5 (local time), a Boeing 737 aircraft of the Aerolíneas Argentinas broke down during flight and then landed at Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport in an emergency.
It was reported that the aircraft was carrying 143 passengers and nine crew members. A few minutes after takeoff, the captain realized that the engine had exploded and lost power, and the aircraft was diverted to Ezeiza International Airport for an emergency landing on the only remaining engine.
Preliminary information indicates that a bird strike caused the engine failure.
